Default Make a "Courtyard Path" Quilt with Jenny Doan

God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.

Nice fabric but I don't have that template and I hate curves.

I took a chance and ordered the template. I tried drunkards path years ago and struggled with it, but I'm willing to give it a second chance.

I ordered the template, too. I have a nice layercake perfect for this project.

I love the background fabric and oh, that backing fabric is so pretty. I may get the ruler, as it would make it easier. I have made drunkards' path before in a smaller size and really enjoyed making them.

Dang, another quilt added to the 'Wish I had more time to-do list'.

Enjoy life and do what makes you happy. Everything else will follow.

Every day I try to do one thing that challenges my comfort zone.

Jenny is so inspiring. I struggle with curves, but this video was very informative. And that quilt is pretty!

I would like to give this a try also. I do have a layercake I think will be great. I have been dealing with M-I-L bins of UFOs for months now and have just one suggestion for all of you who, like me, have an ever growing to-do list....make notes including the fabrics you are planning to use, the pattern you intend to use include any notes pertinent to this project. I have been spending time kitting up fabrics I buy for patterns, even noting the intended background, border, binding and even the recipient if known.

That is so important. I have found it so helpful.
