Default Pinwheels going in opposite directions!!!

    MSQC Girls,
Oh dear! I have 33 of my pinwheels for the Disappearing Pinwheel Arrow quilt completed when I noticed that 15 of the pinwheels are going in the opposite direction. My question is: If the finished quilt has half of the pinwheels going in the opposite direction of the other half would this be visually disruptive? I don’t thing the arrow pattern would be affected and when the quilt goes together the arrow direction is alternated.
I can’t believe I didn’t catch this before I had 15 incorrectly done. Any hope or should I just reassemble the 15 incorrect ones?
    Thanks ladies,
    Deb

There's a saying in computer programming: It's a feature, not a bug. Maybe you can make this a feature!

Are your pinwheels all the same color, or are they different colors? If they're different colors, I think you could lay them out carefully and make it look like you designed it that way. That might not work if they're all the same color.

Oh, and I see you're new here. Welcome to the forum!

Hey, it's your quilt, if you like it, keep it any way you want it.

I made that kind of error in the garden star quilt. I laid them out like a checkerboard.

Oh I've been there with the disappearing hourglass. I decided to use the right-wrong blocks near the outside border and make it a design decision. Funny to say, this is the only quilt I have ever sold, for $500.

Doing my first "simple" lap quilt for grandson I sew the entire bottom row upside down (directional specific fabric pieces too). So I decided to call it a design feature, told him no matter which way he covered up with it, he could look down at his feet and his sport team blocks would be upright for reading and viewing enjoyment.! He loved that idea!

Lay the blocks out the way they are. Is your eye drawn to the wrong-way ones? does it bother you? If it does, then yes, redo them. You won't be happy if you don't . I speak from experience-made GD a pinwheel quilt last year and YEP, managed to get a number reversed even though I was being oh so careful! A couple I managed to re-do wrong again (and I am NOT new to this game)

I don't think I have ever made a quilt that at least some of the pieces are turned backwards.. Some I cut wrong, some I sewed wrong and I'm talking hundreds of quilts. Did I redo them? NOPE. Did I gift them...sure and also to charity. Was I embarrassed? NOPE...the recipients are hardly ever quilters and what I produced is better than what they jproduced. Just quilt for the fun of it.
