Default My 16 year old has invaded my sewing room

I'm excited! I have 5 kids and finally one is interested. She's my youngest at 16, I did have to school her on my forbidden fabric lol she's looking up youtube videos and making me stuff! Had to share.

Oh the fun you will have. Isn't it wonderful. This is the beginning of a lifelong love. My daughter learnt to sew as well, and now my DIL is learning to sew. Our oldest GD 7 is showing an interest. I'm excited.

I once read that if you teach your kids to sew and quilt, they won't have any money left for drugs or booze. I think this is true.

Enjoy life and do what makes you happy. Everything else will follow.

Every day I try to do one thing that challenges my comfort zone.

I had to wait til my daughter was 50 before she got interested in sewing! Now she is a quilter, bag maker and paper piecer! Such fun to share with her! But her 9 year old granddaughter is also interested and has made several quilts with our help! And she is quite a promising seamstress!

How exciting. Jean, I love your note. That means I may have hope.

Well my DD is 33 and shows no interest. DS however has shown an interest and now has my travel machine. I wonder if I'll get it back. It was great when he was here for 18 mos. and we could share ideas and work together.
