    Default Flannel Flimsies x 2

Yep, I was at it again trying to organize my sewing room. Didn't get very far once I ran into some lovely flannels, leftover half-square triangles and some other pieces from prior projects for baby gifts. Pleased to say that the stash is dwindling.

Two flannel flimsies. Click image for larger version.

    Those are sweet.

It is so easy to get distracted when organizing, but you have also made that distraction productive. Not only did you reduce your stash some, but now have two baby flimsies ready for the next "need a quick" baby quilt.

Those are so pretty. I love how you get distracted from organizing. If that's what it takes to de-stash, keep going.

Nice looking flimsies. Love working with flannel but for whatever reason, often forget what a great option it is.

That's why I'm still trying to get my sewing room organized...distracted by my stuff. I want to sew/quilt not organize, lol!

Ditto for me! Can't seem to get things cleaned up without being distracted. Your quilts are lovely and wasn't that fun to put together two quilts without leaving home to fabric shop?

I could stay in my sewing spaces for the next 10 years and probably not run out of what I need to sew. I have pretty much stopped buying fabric except for an occasional MSQC purchase, which is a good thing. I am trying my best to downsize what I know I probably won't use since I don't do some types of sewing anymore. Now into trying out blocks I have seen and liked but never tried. Immediate gratification and some day I'll combine them into a quilt. Some other UFOs are calling my name, but I need to expand the frame of my old longarm and just haven't gotten around to it. I love the fact that all I have to do is go down some stairs, fuss with fabric, make a mess, and if I don't get something completed, it can sit on my cutting table til I get to it!
Thank you for the compliment on the quilts. Sewing is my happy place!

Very pretty quilts. I'm familiar with both those focus flannel fabrics. I've used them for baby blankets & burp cloths.
