What does mauve look like?
I have to make a baby quilt for DH's niece & she's requesting pink, grey & mauve. Pink, I get. Grey..okay. But Mauve? Is that a pinky purple? I'm hoping you guys will shed some light on color dilemma. Any cute pattern comes to mind for highlighting these colors?
Help, pretty please!

Re: What does mauve look like?
It's pink with a grey overtone. I've seen it described as ashes of roses.

Double ditto avocado green--Help, can't get that out of my mind now. Had green appliances, but grew real tired of it real fast. No money to buy new appliances, so I had to live with them until they died--That green lived a LOOONG time.

Re: What does mauve look like?
Oh boy, did it ever. I had a speed queen washer and dryer in avocado green that lasted 20 years with no repair, also a double door fridge (only 15 years. Never had the harvest gold.
But, the mauve is back and they are pairing it again with grey just like in 1983. It didn't last long. This grey thing they are really trying to make work. They tried yellow/grey, then teal /grey. Hummm….Not me...been there, done that. But, my mom had pink and grey furniture in the late 50's so I guess it comes and goes.
