Default Using up scrap pile while I embroider

Wow, have I mentioned that that black and white quilt is taking me a ton of hours of embroider. So, I decided maybe I could piece something on my old machine. I worked on the tension on whole day and got a good stitch going and I pieced for a day. Then, I started putting the blocks together and now that little thinging that the thread goes thru must have come loose and I can't get to it because I don't know hoe to open up the machine.
So, a couple of years ago, I bought a $25 Singer 237 at Goodwill for the GC's to sew with me which never has happened yet. I got it out.. It sews wonderful. So today, I put the blocks together
Now, this was a shoebox overflowing with brown, gold, orange and green strips. The quilt will be 100x100Click image for larger version.

Sometimes those oldies are real goodies! Boy you have really been productive. A quilt 100 x 100 is nothing to sneeze at!

Terry ~ You really have been busy! Lookin' good. Reminds me a bit of a log cabin quilt my parents used to have on their bed. I remember studying all the different colors & textures of the fabrics when I was a child. I'd cut my hand & had been to the ER for stitches, so crawled into their bed for a while. It was comforting.

Thrifty on the machine! Thrifty on the quilt top! Sew much of a score! For you and Shrinner’s, and the recipient! When there is a will there is a way, sew on!
Blogging ahead.....research in quilting and sewing with a dab of cooking/recipes too.
