Hi from Sunny Florida! (I bet the guys playing at the Players today are wishing it was more like yesterday! What a change in the weather!)

Hi , I’m new today too, I’m new to forums even! From WI. I have a question that may have been addressed, but I don’t know where to look. I purchased the pattern Three Dudes and watched Rob’s you tube video. But the finished quilt measures 62x62. Is there anyway to make it a queen sized quilt and not loose the design. Appreciated any advice. Thanks

Welcome to both thesenecas and Winnie MC, from Northern California!

Winnie I don't know an easy way to turn the Three Dudes quilt into a queen size quilt. It's definitely a non-trivial problem with that particular quilt pattern. Here's my suggestion: Using graph paper, to keep things straight, draw the pattern out. Start by drawing just one block as a sample, then start drawing out the quilt, repeating that block over and over again. You can figure out the number of blocks from one Jelly Roll, so start adding that same number of blocks, working just on one side and either the bottom or the top.

If you can get to queen size before "using up" the extra blocks from the second Jelly Roll, then you can do the quilt.

As I said, this is not a trivial problem, but it is possible. Let us know what you learn!

I’ll give it a try, thanks for the suggestion,
