    Default Bonne Nuit Ma Chère

I saw KarenC’s Good Night Irene and thought.......French General.....so I shopped my stash for my French general and made: Bonne Nuit Ma Chère. I believe it translates to: Good Night My Dear.

Monique, correct me if I’m wrong. I only took 2 years of it....decades ago. I have very little memory of my French!

    It’s 83” x 100”. It’s not quite what I had envisioned, but it’s done!

On a side note: I’ve sewed with French General fabric before, but not exclusively......it’s a dream to sew with!

    Your translation is good, Anita.

Your quilt is beautiful, and the colours are perfect. This is a pattern I've had on my TO-DO list, but now it's making me itch to get one started sooner than later.

Enjoy life and do what makes you happy. Everything else will follow.

Every day I try to do one thing that challenges my comfort zone.

French General is my favorite fabric regardless of the line. I just love their red with brown and cream. Your quilt is gorgeous!!!!

Beautiful quilt! I just started using my scraps making the 16 patches, may I ask what pattern this is?

    Missouri Star’s Good Night Irene:
(They first called it 4 patch & x’s)

Not a difficult quilt to make, at all! Just be sure to cut the “background” squares (the x part) to 4-1/2” before snowballing the block. Have fun!

It is tres bon. I made two good night irenes and in one I put a square between the x's and really liked the look of it too. I remember making all those little blocks and at one point counting them and thinking, will this ever end? Yours is beautiful and I am going to keep my eye open for that line of fabric. One of these days, DH is going to let me buy some more fabric but...until then bon jour

    Anita, it's beautiful.

I gave Howard's to Jim and Morgan. I did love that pattern. Maybe, I'll make another one, but where would I store it?

It turned out really lovely. I used French General also and loved the fabric.
