It's beautiful! That is a lot of work. I am amazed at the volume and beauty of quilts you churn out.

Wow that is amazingly beautiful. A true handiwork. Just curious, how many years did it take? Size of Hexies?

I've seen some women working on some, and I think I want to start one. I realize this is not a project I will finish fast, but could be handy if I am sitting at appointments, hospital.

Enjoy life and do what makes you happy. Everything else will follow.

Every day I try to do one thing that challenges my comfort zone.

Oh My...that's gorgeous, Kat!!! I am working with my hexies a little and have been reminded how much work goes into making them. You did a wonderful job.

I have been thinking that a wide (maybe 18" or so) of hexies going across the center of a solid fabric quilt would look good....what do you think?

Cokie, it's all hand stitched. I've been working on it off and on since 2013 and I'm really glad to get it done! I do plan to make shams with the left over hexie flowers that I have, maybe while it's at the long armers.

It is a great project to work on in hospitals! Believe me, I know! It's also great to take on vacations at your MIL's as she's not up to going out a lot so there's a lot of sitting around her house visiting.

I started it in 2013 or maybe late 2012, but it hasn't been my main focus.

Check out Pintrest, there are lots of smaller hexie projects that are pretty. I wish I'd seen them first! lol !

I think it would be pretty and very modern.

WOW!!! Katrina, that is beautiful. Could you have it custom quilted? I finally have all of my "flowers" for a queen size quilt, just need to piece with the white hexi's. I started in 2011 or 2012 so I better get busy.
