Make a " Crown Jewel" quilt with Jenny

Today Jenny has a beautiful and very easy quilt to learn us.
I really like this one, I must say that I do like the solid color block much more than the big quilt behind her, but that is just my preference.
I think the block is more dominant in more contrasting colors,
Have fun learning how to make this gorgeous quiltblock.

It ain't no sin to be glad you're alive!

I agree with you Klasien, much prefer the solid block.
Blessed are the children of the piecemakers for they shall inherit the quilts!

I agree. The design gets lost using prints/pastels. It's gorgeous is solid strong colors.

Love it also ... a bit busy with the print but I still like it! Also like the solids!

When I first started the video, DH was looking over my shoulder, his comment was " too busy, would look better in a couple of solids", then Jenny showed the red/white/blue block and he said "see, told ya so". LOL

He's not into the quilt thing or creative in any way, but I do have to admit, when he's right...he's right!
