    Default 14 blocks, part 3

I am a first born, perfectionist, controlling type by nature. The back, using the remaining 5 blocks, is sewn with the "cut your coat to fit your cloth/make it do/use it up" theory of quilting. I kept telling myself "it is just the back". I also kept saying " doesn't have to be perfect, just finished". It is ok, and is the same size as the front. It will be easy to tie. It needs the 6" border sewn and it is done.

I found pencil marks on the back of the blocks. The pieces were cut from traces templates. This quilter did not cut the ears from the triangles/pointy pieces.....and the blocks were very well pressed. I am very pleased and satisfied to have these blocks in a quilt and out of my stash. I need to wash it before it used. These blocks were stored for years. Oops, still have to piece the binding.......

You need a friend who goes to auctions. My friend wanted some linens that were in a box. She got the box for $10.00. She only wanted the linens. There were 2 quilts at the bottom of the box. She gave me both quilts.

It's going to be amazing when you're all done. Such a great find!
