i enjoyed sewing the blocks, they turned out. that doesn't always happen! i will make a couple more using different color collections. i learned a couple of tips about color -it's still a challenge getting the right 'pop' in a pattern. i purchased the backing fabric at Ikea's, i"ll see what the quilter thinks about the weight. my next learning experience will b e to quilt my own-my machine is capable-it's the user that's not! YET.

That turned out great! You really made the most of that precut.
If you haven't tried one, a Disappearing 9 Patch is fun. I still have 9 Patch and Hourglass on my to-do list, but my next quilt will be Jewel Box.
