I saw this quilt on another site and fell in love with it - does anyone know what pattern it is? I tried to figure out how to make it just by looking at it but not having a lot of luck.

The way the pattern is staggered i would sew bands of fabric in strips to form a tube then cut as you would for bargello. thats what it reminds me of- a large bargello pattern. Look at it as if the right side was the top and you can see it.
I would go back to the site where you saw the quilt and snoop around and see if you can find out the name of the pattern. They may even have a tutorial for it. It's worth a chance if you like it. Barb
Looks like about a 8x12 block followed by two strips (jelly roll?), another block, two strips, another block, two strips and staggered when the rows are put together.
Sometimes, when there's a raging fire,
it's best not to try to put it out with gasoline.

Thanks Ladies - its actually a quilt thats listed on etsy - I emailed the seller and asked her - she said she got it from a kit but didn't know or remember the pattern name. I think its so pretty and looks easy enough to sew - just can't figure out how the strips/blocks are staggered.
I think Bakermom is right, it does look like a bargello type pattern. From what I see, there are 4 fabrics for the larger blocks, and 2 fabrics for the smaller rectangles.
Determine what size you would like the blocks to be. Cut a strip of each in those sizes. Sew them all together, then with right sides together, sew the outer edges together making a tube. Once you've done this, lay the tube out and subcut in the width size you want. To sew it together, follow any bargello instructions.
I love that quilt and the colors are so pretty. Good luck I hope you figure it out!
