    Good Monday Morning

I didn't see a Monday thread started, someone else is probably starting one as I type.

Didn't do a lot yesterday, it was so dreary. It sprinkled and carried on around lunch. Then stopped for a good while. Then started again around 12:30 this morning. It wasn't a hard rain, but just enough that I couldn't figure out what the noise was. I got up and went to look out the sliding glass door, saw everything was wet. Then I could relax and go to sleep.

I worked on the zipper project for SS yesterday. I don't like the way it went together, so I'm going to rework the pattern. It seems like I'm doing a lot of that these days. I hope my ideas make it easier to finish and fit what I want it to fit.

Time to chase the squirrel. Kids aren't coming this morning, so I'll be in my sewing room in a few. Family dinner tonight, so maybe I'll be able to get to sleep easier since I'll be busier.

Prayers for those in need there are so many. Prayers of thanksgiving for all of our many blessings.

Good Monday to you all. It is dreary here again today, typical Winter in Alabama. Perhaps it will clear and we might see the sun later.
After zumba and exercise today I need to make a stop ar Wmart then I might get a chance to do a little FMQ, I have two sandwiched quilts that I am itching to work on, hope to get to it.
Tomorrow is exercise then a haircut, maybe a little FMQ time, I just might get something done in the sewing room this week.

      Good morning,
Dang, I just deleted my first message. Maybe I need more coffee. Sunny and cold -10C.

Daughter and family got back from vacation. Kids are off to school and daycare. Parents are taking day off to do laundry, groceries and enjoy time alone. I will drop by to being bag of mended clothes.

I spent the afternoon with mom. I moved her clothes from dresser onto hangers for the closet. This is easier for staff to rotate her clothes. I also got rid of clothes that no longer fit. I sorted through her drawers -- tossing bits of paper, old cards and sorting photos and momentoes. I found a picture of all the family of my dad's last xmas. I didn't have this one. He had been in hospital for over 3 months and was determined to get out for the day, and staff agreed. I was flipping, as he needed so much equipment and help. He was out for the meal, and after a nap he went back to hospital. He died 4 months later.

Today I will work on the musical quilt, but I may have to set aside. I saw that one of the black with gold fabric that i used was on sale today, so I ordered more. It is a good blender. I also got some William Morris fabrics and backing for a quilt on sale. I used up gift cards, and the order cost $15. yeah!

Be safe. Bundle up. Stay dry. Sending positive vibes for all those in need.
Enjoy life and do what makes you happy. Everything else will follow.

Hi Everyone...It's pouring rain today but at least most of our ice is gone. We seem to go from one weather extreme to another.

I did some straightening in the sewing room this morning and got the components for the wedding quilt out and sorted. I can't take an embroidery holiday right now so no more llamas for a while.

I had an important appointment with a specialist Friday and he wants an x-ray before my next appointment. That is on my agenda for tomorrow. I would welcome all prayers. This has me nervous.

Yesterday the pups spent the whole day outside of their crates. They didn't even go in for naps. It was good but there were some rough patches when Sugar, who has a short fuse, fought dirty with Maggie. Maggie will back off if told to, but she will always go back and get even. She's The Finisher and she got even in the end. Terriers are relentless. Dottie isn't feeling that well right now...her breathing is rough. She may need to see the vet.

I have to run for now....will check in later. Hugs.....

Good morning all. It's a dreary day here today leading up to some snow/ice/rain tomorrow. Today I am going over to visit with a couple of people at my old job to catch up with everyone. Figured I'd fit them both in on the same day since I won't be going over there tomorrow. I will probably have to go over and sit with Tessa while Kathryn picks Henry up from school since the weather will be so yucky.

Yesterday we got to spend some time with the little princess. Grandpa got to snuggle her and she fell asleep in his arms. He hadn't gotten to see her in a couple weeks. I have some sewing I want to get to this morning and since the chili is cooking away in the crockpot, I can head up to my sewing room and enjoy being one with my fabric for a couple hours before heading out.

Barb, I will certainly keep you in my prayers and also sweet little Dottie.

Looks like we are all dealing with some unpleasant weather. Stay safe and warm everyone. Have a good Monday.

Good morning. We had a bit of snow to shovel and clear off our cars. I was out in the yard getting a urine sample from our pug. I am sure a little snow made it in the cup. I hope there is enough there for the vet to test it. With this cold air , our pugs lower airway disease is bad too. I am ready to sew the binding on a quilt I made back n the fall. I had to do something else while I was washing and drying the puple fabric.

Have a good day and stay warm and dry.

              Good morning/afternoon All.

LOTS of rain here, our backyard by the fence is fully flooded. It happens every year but it seems like it’s been more gradual in years past.
I need to follow up on my doctors order for a sleep study. I don’t think we are going to learn anything new but I suppose it will rule out some things.

I started on my next ss item yesterday and hope to take it further today. I really think I’m going to like it so I might have to make two...

                Re: Good Monday Morning

Good Morning, Everyone ~ Just now getting time to sit down. I was busy with laundry, baking DH's spelt bread, etc. The 2nd loaf is in the oven. The house is smelling so good. I wondered how I would manage the kneading, but I was able to do most of it with my R. hand, so that worked out ok.

We woke up to 13 deg. & fog, which has frozen on all the trees, etc. Beautiful to look at. We had a light dusting of snow, which didn't amount to anything. It's supposed to get above freezing today. I think the sun will pop out here soon.

I did some browsing on the fabric sale, but did not make it through all 20 pages, or however many there were. I was tempted by the Forest Animals panel & matching yardage. One of the fabrics I liked (kids -- which I would have used for backing) -- was sold out forever. I'll take a 2nd look later.

I did some browsing yest. for a new printing calculator. They have one I like on sale at Office Depot/Max, which is just a few blocks from me. Maybe I could run over there after the bread is out of the oven.

Barb ~ Thoughts & prayers. It's always a bit unsettling when we don't know what's going on. I hope all will be well.

I talked to my cousin in Illinois yest. She mentioned all the cold, snow, & so much ice they've had this winter. I was just reading up on the snow in Seattle; they've had 14" this mo. That's a lot for them.

Well, I'm going to back to that fabric sale & do more browsing.

Good afternoon! Barb, prayers and hugs for you. And also for Dottie.

Weather wise, we are not getting what has been predicted but there is a layer of ice on top of the snow that is making everything slick. Almost all of the schools had school today but did early dismissals some as early as 9AM.

It has been an interesting weekend. Little one had gotten sick on Wed but was fine by Thursday afternoon (stomach bug). Then he starting running a temperature and had a runny nose on Saturday evening. Then woke up on Sunday morning with what looked like possible pink eye. So not much sleep on Saturday night nor last night because he has been coughing. I have been giving him medicine and the eye has already cleared up and the nose has stopped running. He just has a little cough left. But still wants to snuggle - so that is what is on the plan for today.

I didn't get to the sewing room all weekend. However, I did find some great fabric on sale today with the MSQC yardage sale to make children's pillowcases to donate. The pillowcases that I make use 3/4 yard for the main body and 1/4 yard for the cuff. I would like to encourage others to make a pillowcase or two or more and send them to Marilyn to donate for PICU Quilts in Honor of Gabe. For all of you with dr's appts and critters with ailments, my thoughts are with you.
The rain will be here in a couple of hours. The day has been good at about 60 and overcast so I took advantage of that and went out side. We are expecting rain for a few days and a cold front.
Worked on the quilt today. I pieced a flannel back for it and sandwiched it today. Started the FMQ. Another couple of days on this one. I'm not too excited about it. But I think it will be good as an auction quilt.
DH has been excavating our backyard taking out trees that are too close to the house and reshaping the land. Right now its just a big muddy mess.
                      Spring will be here soon....yes...soon.
