    Default Binding tool Friendship Braid

I have a friend who has terminal cancer and I want to make a quilt and I'd like to get it done quickly. After going thru all my stash & precuts, I think a jelly roll quilt may be the best and friendship braid has meaning too.

I watched Jenny's tutorial, but she doesn't say how many per section. And I'm terrible at math!

I was wondering if it would work to just sew the allllll into one long strip then cut in half and half again? Would that be big enough? Or maybe sew them all in a strip and then cut 5 or 6 equal lengths?

Hi— I just started the Braid in a day quit. I am using Elenor Burns’ pattern . For a lap size — make 3 braids. Use one jelly toll or 14 —2.5 strips. I think it will take more than a day to make this quilt

Thanks! How long are the pieces? I am using the binding tool nd it's one about 8.5" - not sure 3 columns would be wide enough?

I made a friendship braid using a layer cake. I kept the length at 10" and just trimmed half one way and half the other way. Just start piecing until you have the length you want then cut. Add borders, sashing and it goes together fast. I know. I made this top in about 3 days.
