    Default More fun...

This post was intended to ask for help with a sewing error. As I was about to take the picture, I was able to see how to fix it. So I will post the picture instead.
This is the back to my half square triangle top. I was able to use all the fabric and the blocks I started before I changed my mind about making the top. And again I learned new techniques and how to reuse/recycle fabric and blocks. This is why I like to make reversible quilts. More fun....

    It looks fabulous. Great work.
Blessed are the children of the piecemakers for they shall inherit the quilts!

Oh I like it. Very cheerful and creative use of charms and sashing. It's another quilt.

Every day I try to do one thing that challenges my comfort zone.

That is very unique-- I should give that a try. I shouldn't be in such a hurry to finish that I don't make the back nice too. By the time I get the top finished I'm usually done liking the process of making a quilt so a big backing is good enough, need to rethink this. I love your back.

I also had cut some of the 10 " squares into eighths before I decided on half square triangles. So, I had several hour glass blocks that I decided were not the size I wanted. I sewed them end to end with sashing, then cut them in half lengthwise. It is enough for the binding. Haven't decided if I want just a hint of the color along the edge or if I want more color showing. I used one layer cake, one charm pack and one pack of the 2.5" squares of gingham. I also used equal amounts of white. Have a few scraps left that will make a potholder, maybe a place mat if I stretch it with white.
