Different method of Disappearing Pinwheel.

For the disappearing pinwheel first you have to make the pinwheels up and then you cut them into 9 parts. In watching the tutorial you are told to divide it equally. I decided I wanted to try something different so once the pinwheels were done I trimmed the down to 12". I did this by setting 6" on the center seam and trimming it back. Then I laid the pinwheel out and cut it into 9 pieces without having to ever turn the block or move it. My first cut was at 4". Moving to the right of the first cut by 4" I then cut the second cut but I did lay the 2" mark on the center seam. So now I had three 4" pieces. Then I laid the ruler crosswise and cut at 4" again. And then again at 4". The advantage of doing this for me was that every cut was on the right side of the ruler. And I never had to move the fabric. Here are some photos.
