    will get to the remaining six this week and BAM! i think you saved my quilt. it went from so-so, slightly drab to a quilt i'll be proud to gift my friend. i love it when quilters share knowledge! thanks so much.

    When I use a precut pack that has a few seemingly "too light" pieces in there, I generally just pull them out and don't even use them. Then eventually I will need a mix of light neutral pieces for background, and can use these orphaned pieces. (I tend to be attracted to the lines that have ivory/tan/bone as the light color, as opposed to grey or pure white)
