When I searched this fabric on ebay, this quilt kit came up:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/THE-POTTING...ty!33565!US!-1

I don't know if the border fabric is the same as you are looking for, but if it is, it could be much less than ordering from overseas. Good Luck!

In Europe we pay about 50Ä or more for each layer cake or jelly roll. So this sounds familiar to me ;-)

I'm not familiar with the monetary conversion of different countries. What does that convert to in American $? Is it $50.00?

there is an calculator in the windows 10 menu under C that does conversions, if online in real time conversion.
in standard mode in calculator click on the 3 lines next to standard
    go down list to currency,
    choose countries,
to get back to standard click on 3 lines select standard

50 euro is $57.70 at the moment

Once I asked Brigitte Heitland aka Zenchic who designs for Moda, why we have to pay so much more for fabrics here in Europe. She said that there is one big company that imports all the fabrics from the US and than sells it to the shops. I think it is called Rhintex. This makes ist almost twice as expensive.
Purchasing fabrics in the US is possible but with the shipping and customs and the thrill, if your fabrics are really coming or get lost somewhere....and sometimes it has to be picked up at the customs office, that means to take a day off, because it is located at the end of the world and you have to wait a long time there... I purchased at MSQC a few times but meanwhile I try to find everything in the EU.
This all might be an advantage too, guess how much fabrics I would by if I could get it all so much cheaper ;-)

These prices aren't much better in Canada. I just looked up random layer cakes and they range from $45 to $60 with most around to the $55+ range.

Shaking my head at the prices some of you have to pay. I would either have to give up quilting or learn to really really love scrappy ones cause I would be forced to buy and cut up used clothing from thrift stores.
