    Default what are those called

after a small tiny worrisome moment over 'pot holders' last month,
    just clarifying terms

jeans can be called trousers in UK (I mention jeans purely just to give a minds eye of the garment over legs),
but in olde Yorkshire from relatives now past, they can be called brecks (i.e. pull them brecks up) or trusers. spelt as said.

It seems USA call them' Pants' according to movies,
Pants over here are the closest personal undergarments, to skin over here , can also be called smalls so what do you call your under undergarments?

its something I fear could go very wrong if tried to internet search for the answer.
    curious minds ect.

In the US, our generic name is underwear.

Some alternatives are skivies (generic), for women we call them panties, thongs, or unmentionables to name afew. For men, it's boxers, briefs, or even tighty whitey's

In our family we call undies chonies. It's slang for undies in Spanish.

Think skivvies used to be a term in UK for folk who worked very hard cleaning.

I'm an old soul that raised boys, so my granddaughter gets very upset when we're at the potty and I say something about pulling up her underpants. After all, she wears pan-teeeees. lol She's definitely a southern gal!

In Canada, we call them underwear. For men, it's briefs or boxers. For women, it's hi-cuts, bikinis, briefs, or thongs. My DD has always worn things, which I call dental floss.

In French, we call them 'sous-vetements' , calesons, bobettes, petites culottes.

Jeans are usually made of blue or coloured denim fabric. Trousers or pants are dressier, with a zipper, waistline and fitted. Jogging pants are loose comfort wear, and once considered casual wear, now are worn anywhere. Women also wear jeggings or leggings. These are tightly woven stretchy pants. These are flattering for slim women, but not so if you're not.

Enjoy life and do what makes you happy. Everything else will follow.

Every day I try to do one thing that challenges my comfort zone.

I refer to thongs as butt floss.

I think at one time it referred to Naval personnel too.
TRUTH is seldom appreciated, unless you happen to agree with it. When you don't agree, you just call it rude.

I think my grandmother called them foundations but she may have been referring to girdles. My husband calls his skivvies but could be a navy term.

We Always called them things undies. But if shopping online I would search mens underwear or womens underwear, which would probably bring up bras and panties.
