I heartily recommend the clearly perfect slotted trimming ruler. https://www.missouriquiltco.com/shop...otted-trimmers. I deeply dislike squaring up blocks, but this tool makes squaring HST pretty easy. I just made about 100 HST and they are all a lovely 4.5 inch square.

I love theClearly Perfect Slotted Trimming ruler. I had it with me at a recent retreat where others saw me using it. Four people immediately ordered it online after seeing how perfect my HSTs were. Well worth the money -
