    Default Table topper question

I'm making a table topper for a friend and I have no idea what size her round table is. Do you think a 21 inch square is alright, or would you make it larger? It's not problem to go larger since the borders will be skinny if it's only 21 inches. I just don't want it so large they can't put their plates on the table...

This is the pattern I used. It's simple and free if any of you would like to try it. https://www.favequilts.com/Paper-Pie...ar-Quilt-Block

Most round tables are 42" to 48", unless it's a patio size of 30".

I agree with Suzanne (above). I make most of mine 40" or so.

If you want it so the plates do not cover it, 21 inches will be just right IMO as a centerpiece.

An idea.....borders that compliment to get it a little bigger than scallop the edge.
Blogging ahead.....research in quilting and sewing with a dab of cooking/recipes too.
