    Default WiP Dec 7-13, 2018

Folks, it's going to be a short note this week. Just kicking off the thread. Sounds from last week's thread that lots of good progress is being made.

Hope you all are having a good week. Mine has been a week of contrasts.

It's been a challenging week with my mom breaking her hip Monday and surgery this week. I have been going once, twice per day at the hospital, keeping distant relatives up to date, all while trying to see to everything else that needs to be done.

I took some quiet time to finish hand sewing the binding and label on this one yesterday. I also made 2 pairs of pillowcases in xmas fabrics. It is even cat approved. I quilted it on a LA last month.

I'm not sure if I will be able to get to my happy place this week, but I hope I can. I want to make a few bags for my grand daughter, and my daughter asked for a bag to bring her tablet, phone to meetings. I also want to make the toss pillows - fabric pictured.

Looking forward to seeing other people's finishes.

Enjoy life and do what makes you happy. Everything else will follow.

Every day I try to do one thing that challenges my comfort zone.

After finishing my fall quilt I decided to make a pillow cover, I wound up making 6 blocks that are sandwiched and ready to quilt.
With Christmas so close I have no idea when I can get in the sewing room to work on it but maybe there will be some time next week.

I got all the quilts finished that I wanted to do, but having spent a lot of time in the sewing room I was getting more and more fed up with the mess.

So I've started moving fabric around and getting all my books and magazines together. I just have a HUGE pile of patterns I've taken out of old magazines which will go into binders. At the moment the room looks worse than it did before but I can see lots of progress and hope to get it finished by the end of Monday.

Hope everyone has a good week.

Outside it is dull and dreary with freezing rain, but inside I am working on a Blooming Rainbow.
