I was looking through my tubs for some lost HSTs, and I came upon several tubs marked "projects". Looking into one, I found a started project that paired a bunch of colorful jelly roll strips with a rainbow bunch of plain strips. I vaguely remember the concept that I envisioned for this. I thought, "why not?" Put them together in order of the spectrum, (ROYGBV?) with a bit of pink thrown in, with various lengths of the prints showing. It turned out kind of cute, definitely a retro look! Then I remembered a very colorful bolt of Batiks that I had tried various times to use as backing but had always come up not having enough. It worked perfectly for this quilt. Then dug in my batting scraps and found enough pieces to sew together to just fit this quilt. Threw it on the longarm, and was inspired to quilt big flowers, and voila, here it is! A flower power fun quilt all from stash. Need to bind it today. Never did find the HSTs, they're hiding somewhere, I know they are!

You will eventually find them. Nice job on the quilt.
Blessed are the children of the piecemakers for they shall inherit the quilts!

Beautiful. The perfect plan. Don't you just love it when it all comes together.

Enjoy life and do what makes you happy. Everything else will follow.

Every day I try to do one thing that challenges my comfort zone.

    Looking great !

God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.
