    hummmmmmmmm... and i thought it was just me being the "impatient and rough-shod type".... thanks for the suggestions... especially the "eyes on the prize" one... i think that is a huge help for me.... and the big blade beginning at the top... every little bit helps me!!!!

    no worries Jackie! I realized from the comments that it totally is my fault! I am new to templates and I must have got too excited and used my cutter too hard at the edges!

    These members are wonderful at helping me learn new things and experience is the best teacher! I would never have known there was even such a thing as a tumbler template if it were not for the videos! I love it!

    Thanks for the offer, but I would not feel right asking for a replacement when it was operator error!

    I have been using templates for years and years and have never cut into one - even a cardboard one! Your eye must be directly over the template and your cutting hand. In other words you must look DOWN at it and not from behind it. Try it and you will see the difference.
