The family would say sausage and bread stuffing, recipe handed down from my mother. For me, it's my made from scratch pumpkin pie with a scoop vanilla ice cream.

Oh what was I thinking? Well, not thinking. Everyone's all time favorite is Sweet Potato Pie! I'm making and bringing it (by request) to Thanksgiving dinner! Yum!

My personal favorite is frog eye salad.
(no frogs are used/harmed in the making)
It is something that only I like here so alas I no longer make it.
Everyone likes the hot spinach dip so I make that every year.

I miss the fruity frog eye salad though.

My family wants the traditional southern dressing & since I can't fix a small container we have leftovers for several days.

Uhhh, Babs...what's this frog eye salad. You know we have to see the recipe. LOL!

My kids liked several things... green bean casserole,

Green Stuff that Great Grandma Phillips made (Watergate Salad)

Deviled Eggs- Uncle Bill's favorite (6 eggs for him, and the other half dozen for everybody else... unless Uncle Darrell is going to be there, then I give in and cook 2 dozen eggs)

    Dressing with Giblet gravy.

Oh yeah me too. I want to see that frog eye salad or whatever it is! And PCBatiks if you happen to see this, I am making chicken and sausage gumbo on Friday. Have made it before but never ahead of time. I was wondering if I could make the roux on Wed and keep it refrigerated?

There are 20 of us and this year I was trying to pare down the menu. Apparently everyone has a favorite and none of them are the same.
DH insists we have turkey and dressing (last year I made prime rib and apparently ruined Thanksgiving..heard about it for 5 months)
Me...I have to have mashed potatoes....the decadent kind with lots of butter and whole cream & rich turkey gravy
DD#1 & her DH...cherry pie and pumpkin pie
DD#2 & her DH..greenbean casserole (no milk in mine either) and homemade cinnamon rolls
DS..sweet potato casserole with pecans on top (I make it sort of like pumpkin pie with brownsugar plus an apple/banana/whipped cream fruit salad
DD#3 & her DH salad & baked beans & deviled eggs
Then there are the grands. must have olives, spanokapita, crab ragoon, a fruit plate & veggie plate, cranberry sauce, little smokies with cocktail sauce,
    and
Keylime pie and this year Jack wants me to teach him how to make chocolate mousse.
