Default Get out and VOTE today!

Voting is your civic duty! As citizens of the United States, we all have specific rights and responsibilities:

    Rights

    Freedom to express yourself.

Freedom to worship as you wish.

Right to a prompt, fair trial by jury.

Right to vote in elections for public officials.

Right to apply for federal employment requiring U.S. citizenship.

Right to run for elected office.

Freedom to pursue “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”

    Responsibilities:

    Support and defend the Constitution.

Stay informed of the issues affecting your community.

    Participate in the democratic process.

Respect and obey federal, state, and local laws.

Respect the rights, beliefs, and opinions of others.

    Participate in your local community.

Pay income and other taxes honestly, and on time, to federal, state, and local authorities.

Serve on a jury when called upon.

Defend the country if the need should arise.

So I hope everyone exercises their right to vote today!

I requested my mail in ballot on the first day available since I don't drive anymore. Proud to have my first voting in FL tucked neatly under my belt. (It certainly is different from NC!)

Went to the poll this morning as soon as it opened. Long lines here like a presidential election but moved very swiftly. Great reminder Michele.

this is my first vote since moving to Colorado. They vote by mail here. Dropped off my ballot last week. I did miss the excitement of seeing everyone at the polling station. Vote America.

Our power went off at 5:30 this morning and I waited and waited for it to come back on. I had to have coffee and thought it would be a good time to go vote. It was about 8:30 and there was already a long line. I think there will be a good turnout all over for this midterm election.

No lines but heavy turnout in SE Wisconsin. I was 917 at 1:30. Our governor is up for re-election in a hotly contested neck and neck race though.
