    Default Flannel and Scalloped Edge

I do not do much quilting with flannel but I am making a baby quilt and I think it would be adorable with a scalloped edge. I am planning to use the Scallop, Vines and Wave Ruler. Here's my question: Am I going to regret doing a scalloped edge and bias binding with flannel? I am just worried about how shrinkage will affect everything. FYI The flannel is all from Missouri Star so it's high quality.

Serge the edges then wash the flannel before cutting it up. I always prewash flannel. You never know how much it will shrink.

I think the scalloped edges will be adorable on a baby quilt.

I made my granddaughter a flannel quilt with scalloped edges. Before adding the binding I zigzagged around the edges. Also, be sure to use a bias binding.
