Default Charity Quilting (long post) (Pic Heavy)

There have been so many new people that have joined in the past couple of years, that I am not sure all of you know about some of our wonderful charity quilting groups. We all know that quilters are the most generous quilters, so I thought I would share a couple of them with you. First there is my charity group "PICU Quilts in Honor of Gabe" https://forum.missouriquiltco.com/group.php?groupid=144
For those of you that don't know Gabe is my grandson. I can't find the original post about what happened to him...but you can get an idea from this post: https://forum.missouriquiltco.com/sh...ad.php?t=12438
For these reasons, this group is very near and dear to my heart. These quilts go to the PICU at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis.
The second group I would like to talk about is The "Circle Of Comfort" group. https://forum.missouriquiltco.com/group.php?groupid=46
This group is headed by Blondie. These quilts are given to anyone that may need a quilty hug, be it a medical issue, or an emotional one. Both of these groups have been around here for quite awhile.
I also head another group that makes pillowcases that also go to Cardinal Glennon for the pediatric cancer center.

I do hope we can get more members involved in these projects, and can renew the interest in them.
Edited to add...that since I began these projects...I have delivered over 500 quilts and over 350 pillowcases.

Marilyn, thank you for the post reminding us members, old and new, about the charity quilts and pillowcases that are needed for donations...I have loved being a part of the groups...it has always made me feel good to be able to help...I haven't been mailing many packages lately, but I do have some items finished for you---probably 10 pillowcases and a few baby quilts...
I will get them mailed soon...thank you Marilyn for all that do to support the hospital and the groups!

When able I've been involved with both of these worthwhile groups. You can easily find them by going to the "Groups" via the link next to the Daily Deal above. Scroll to the bottom of the listing on the right side of that screen. And then click on the "Guilds."

You have been a huge supporter of my effort along with Steve. I will be forever grateful for what you and Steve have done for me.

I too have a small stash of little quilts to cover incubabators (do they still call them that), and some pillow cases. Will try to get them mailed out this week. "Ask and you shall receive " Blessings Kathy

You have done good deed with all the charities. I haven't paricipated as the costs to ship to the states would be high, but there is a great need in our communities. I help where I can with our guild and VictorIa Quilts Canada.

Quilter's are very generous of their time and love.

Enjoy life and do what makes you happy. Everything else will follow.

Every day I try to do one thing that challenges my comfort zone.
