    Default Sewing Public Service Announcement

When machine piecing your quilt blocks.....please note that the blocks will NOT stayed joined together if you do not thread your sewing machine.

This has been a sewing/quilting public service announcement. Please return to your current quilting project!

OMG... I almost spit my drink all over the keyboard. Wonder I didn't choke!

Maybe I should add.. if the bobbin runs out the same thing will happen... been there quite often myself, playing that bobbin game!

Lol....sorry about that! What's really sad is that I stopped midway through re-threading my machine to post this PSA. When I went back to my machine I just started sewing............................................ ....and ....................the pieces still didn't hold together because I still hadn't threaded the needle. Good grief! Maybe I'm hungrier than I thought I was.

Too funny! Of course you don't see it until the end of the strip.

Fortunately, I have reminders on my machine to help me along with the process. Yes, I have forgotten to thread machine and tried to stitch. Yikes!

Just yesterday I had one last long seam, took out bobbin and looked at it and thought to myself.. I GOT THIS.. popped bobbin back in and pedal to medal and hummm went the machine. Well I ended up being 1 inch shy of finishing the seam.. I lost that bobbin round!

Ooh, don't you hate that? I always start cursing myself for the times I've pulled a bit extra before cutting the threads, and in so doing wasted a couple of inches of thread. But on the plus side, you got to make use of every single inch of thread that was on your bobbin, so no waste there.
