    Default Stacks

Top is all finished. I can't decide if I want to risk quilting it myself or sending it to a friend who is a pro. LOL! I really enjoyed piecing this top. Now I'm thinking of other color combinations to make a queen size for our bed. I'll have to add 2 more rows and lengthen the rows by 2 sections. It was quick, easy, and I love the modern beachy feel.Click image for larger version.

I vote for you quilting it. I know you can do it and once you've done this one, you will be ready to do the bigger one. Plus, the money you save will buy more material. Practice now and perfect later.

Thanks for the vote of confidence! I'll probably just do a wavey stitch down the rows. I need a lot of practice before I try fmq on a quilt this size.

Terry is right... years ago i decided i LOVE making quilts.... then realized what it costs to have them quilted.... FF to now... I do them ALL start to finished,,,I did invest in a Grace Frame with the Janome 1600... then upgraded to a Bailey... truth,, the Janome is just fine if you don't mind "cranking" a little more...I only do about 2 passes at a time... but i am a good "stippler" and am pleased with the results... most all are for charity... Best investment i've ever made) GB

Your quilt is lovely. It does have such a soft beachy look. I agree with you quilting it. The wavy lines would actually be perfect since it does have that beachy vibe. Go for it and post a pic. I do most of mine now since I got my Tiara. It takes practice, but I'm getting better. You can do it!

Thanks, everyone! I will give a try. I used up every bit of my scraps and made two pillow covers to go with the quilt. I made envelope backs after I took this picture.Click image for larger version.

What pattern is this? It reminds me of the one Donna Jordan showed, but I'm not sure. Thank you so much. I love this.
