Default M*QC trip and picture with Jenny

I finally figured how to download pictures from my phone. Here is a picture of Jenny and me, when I attended her trunk show and meet and greet at the end of July.

I also had a wonderful day of shopping and exploring all twelve shops in Hamilton. It really is a one-traffic light town. I flew into a Kansas City and stayed in Cameron, Mo, about a 15 minute drive to Hamilton.

I started my day by purchasing some cookies and cinnamon rolls from the bakery. They did not disappoint. I also made my way to the main store. Here I signed in and got a pass, which makes it easier for the stores to scan and provide you with quilter's' cash on your purchases. I bought the Daily Deal, just because. I also found some great fabrics In almost all the stores. Click image for larger version.

I also planned to eat at the Blue Sage restaurant. I had read on trip advisor that their crab cakes were highly rated. However, when I got there, the menu had changed. There was plenty to chose from. I had a starter salad and the petite steak with garlic mashed patatoes. It was wonderful. I also talked with two ladies at a nearby table. They were enjoying the lobster dip, and chicken pot pie. All delicious. I was very surprised when I came to pay. Someone had picked up my tab. I guess I may have been overheard saying I travelled alone from Canada and make a special stop to M*. This was a dream to come here since I started quilting 3 years ago. I was actually going to Wichita, Ks, but when I saw that Jenny was having a trunk show, I just had to change my itinerary.

So happy you had such a wonderful time! It's on my bucket list......someday.

Hope this next trip goes well, your luggage stays with you and you and your DH are able to tie up all the lose ends of his father's move. Hope you both have a grand time at M*!!!!!!!

It's definitely more fun with a friend. I went alone this time, but I felt really surrounded by lots of quilting friends.

Visiting M* is an experience to remember. Glad you had such a great time. I have been there twice but so many stores have opened since my last visit it will feel all new to me again. I hope to go again soon....!
