How crazy that they thought rocking would spoil the baby. Just do what I do, agree to whatever they say and then as soon as they are out the door, I just do whatever I want. Now mind you this only works until the kiddo is old enough to rat you out - LOL.

My motto - "spoil them like crazy"

He is so sweet, I loved sitting with kids and grandchildren in a rocking chair. I am glad for you! I heard never heard of not sitting in a rocking chair , in my opinion that is weird .

Beautiful baby! He looks older, like maybe a mo. old. How much did he weigh? It's ok for grandmas to spoil babies. Because our kids live so far away, I seldom got to see my gr. kids. Enjoy while you have the chance.

What a sweet and precious time you got to have, so happy that you were able to spend time holding and rocking.

I have inherited my grandmother's rocker and when I sit and rock in it ... well may sound silly, but it is so comforting to me and memories of her fill my heart. One of my happy places! I rocked both of mine and they made sure to have rockers when they had kids. So much easier to rock than walk the floor with them.

Just precious. Enjoy every moment. I asked my daughters pediatrician if it would spoil my baby to hild her and rock her all the time. He told me you cannot spoil a baby and to do what I felt best. Well I held and rocked her a lot. She turned 30 last week. And yes LOL. She is spoiled.
