    Default What is this quilt block?

    Does anyone know the name of this quilt block? I absoluely love this and I've been searching but am coming up empty!

    I looked around at eight pointed stars. I couldn't find one that had the circle in the middle. It almost looks like it was put together like a dresden. Hope you can find it!

    Looking at the pictures closely it appears that the center circle is appliqued onto the star block. Very pretty.

    It looks like they started with a Lemoyne Star and appliqued a circle in the center which would solve the problem of too many points meeting! If you are good at graphing it out you should be able to recreate it. The four corners would be easy but those side ones look like a small square with triangles on each side.

    Why don't you contact the lady (info at the bottom of the page) and ask her if she would sell the pattern. You might get lucky!

    I thought of this. Since they make the quilts to sell, I didn't know if it was appropriate, but I may just do that.

    I went back to that web site & just browsed through the quilt pics. Amazing! Gorgeous! What beautiful hand quilting. It was a pleasure just to look.
