    Default The naughty cat

My step-son lives in northern ID on 5 acres in the country. His wife has horses & they have several pets, among which is Stripes the cat, which is a real hunter. Brings home baby rabbits & who knows what all. He wrote yest.:

"Stripes the cat has lost his cat door privileges. In the past two weeks he has brought into the house:

    - A bird ... slaughtered in [son's] bathroom
    - 5 mice ... 4 dead and 1 alive which we still have to catch
    - 2 chipmunks ... both of which [wife] was able to recover and set free by trapping in the exercise room and opening the window for escape.
    - No rabbits since last incident ...

I barricaded the cat door in the mudroom...he is now at the will of his masters."

I guess Stripes just is doing what cats do, but his trophies shouldn't be brought into the house.

Must be like bringing home the bacon. He is contributing his share.

Cat just wanted to share his treasures with everyone. That's too funny about the one that got away...in the house. Yikes!

Well, at least he didn't bring in the turned on sprinkler.

My cats are indoor woosies. They do drag the fake ones around and leave them by our bed in the morning. Other times they drown them in their water bowl.

Enjoy life and do what makes you happy. Everything else will follow.

Every day I try to do one thing that challenges my comfort zone.

Our kitties are indoor ones too. We had a cat years ago that used to catch slugs and leave them in the dog bowl on the porch. The only way we knew was by the slime trail they left behind...thankfully on their way to the backyard.

I had a bird catcher too one time. I never did have a strictly indoor cat and my oldest was an 18 yr old in and out cat. I have collected a few strays but they only seem to stick around a few years. One of my last cats, a beautiful part Siamese that I got from the humane society ran away when my dd and her boyfriend brought this stray back ( the one I have now) from a Burger King. I was so mad because they stuck her with me when they moved out. I have issues with her. lol
