    Default Layer cakes and charms

Jenny has a layer cake special on her Lucky 7 specials list that is really pretty. Is my math correct in figuring that this layer cake would equal 4 charm packs if cut into half horizontally and vertically? It would be worth cutting all those squares.
    Thanks

Yes, a layer cake would be 4 charm packs. Ifind the layer cakes are very versatile

Yes, it would. As the layer cake is a special price of $ 24.47 (great price); and with a little research...this fabric line has a charm pack of only 24 pieces at the lowest price of $6.98 each. So, to equal 4 charm packs of the Flower Show fabric line? It would take 7 charm packs of 24 pieces each to equal the 168 pieces by cutting the layer cake. And, you would end up spending $ 48.86 versus $24.47. The layer cake would be the better value and it wouldn't take long to cut the vertical and horizontal cuts for the 4 charm packs!

Just make sure your LC pieces measure a full 10" square. I just made a bunch of 4-patches from charms that were just a hair shy of 5". I had to use a very scant 1/4" seam in order for the 4-patches to square up at 4.5". Yes, the layer cakes are a good buy.
