Hello wanna and welcome to the forum. Are you asking to top stitch before you are ready to sandwich the quilt for the actual quilting?

    Welcome to the forum!

If I understand your question correctly, once your have your squares (sometimes called "blocks") made, you stitch them together to make a quilt top. When you're done with this step, you'll have what looks like a colorful sheet with lots of seams. You then make a "sandwich" with a piece of fabric underneath, batting in the middle, and your quilt top, on top. "Quilting" is the act of stitching these three layers together.

Hope to se you around the forum frequently!
