    Default Binding tool

Just bought the binding tool and have watched the video.
My question is, can it be used to bind smaller items? Leaving a 12” space on some of my appliqué projects would be impossible.
    Thanks!

As long as you have enough room to turn the ends to sew them you should be fine. I think a minimum of 6" of loose space would probably be needed, so maybe measure from the halfway point on the binding tool?

I don't use the binding tool, but on my quilts I leave 12" on either side of the ends to have adequate space to sew them together. Of course, that doesn't work for placemats or smaller items. It can be a tight fit sometimes.

There is a mini binding tool for small items. I'm like JCY, I don't use one at all but I used to.

It might be tricky on smaller items. But, you can use it to make the friendship braid and binding tool quilts. Click image for larger version.
