#2 Bordered 9-P is finished. I had leftover 2.5" strips from a previous project so used them for this quilt, which is one of Jenny's tutorials. The fabrics are Fusions & Fusions Garden. This one has 10" finished squares. I made a pieced border of 2.5" squares to finish it. The green backing was from my stash. I purchased it a few yrs. ago for a dif. quilt, which never got made. The color matched well with these fabrics. The quilt measures 38" x 48". For the FMQ I used one of Tracey Russell's designs (see her YT tutorials, whirlsandswirls). It's an all-over pattern of echoed paisley's, leaves, & swirls. I used Glide 40 wt. trilobal polyester "Cool Grey" thread for the quilting. I don't have a recipient in mind yet for this one. There are other pics in my new album. Wow, that's beautiful! I love the colors. So nice that you were able to pull together such pretty colors from your stash. Your FMQ looks so professional. I've been watching some of her videos but I'm way behind you in practice. I'll be happy when my FMQ looks half as good as yours!

Wow. Your quilt is beautiful. Your FMQ is exceptional. I think I remember that you have a sit down long arm. Is the pattern marked on fabric, tear away sheets or just FMQ.
Spectacular.Enjoy life and do what makes you happy. Everything else will follow.

Re: Bordered 9-Patch Quilt #2 with Fusions Fabrics
Yes, I have a table model LA, a Baby Lock Tiara II, which means I have to move the sandwich under the needle. It has a 16" harp. The table surface (with the 18" extension) is 30" deep by 54" wide. It fits perfectly behind the couch in the fam. rm. No, I did no marking on this quilt & seldom do, unless I need to make small tick marks with the Frixion pen for reference points. It's all free-hand. Check out Tracey Russell's YT videos. She probably has close to 400 now. They are just 3-5 min. long. Each one is a dif. FMQ design. Some are for borders/sashings, others are for all-over. When I have a few spare min., I watch 2 or 3 of her videos. Great ideas! And you don't have to buy a book or take a class. They're all free. She always says, "Take time to doodle." Tiara II - Sept. 2015 002.jpg
