    Default Special rulers

In the nine patch hourglass tutorial, Jenny used the clearly simple seam trimmer ruler to gets perfect square before ironing. Can this be done the same way with a regular ruler. Thanks

You do not need special rulers to square up blocks. As long as the ruler has the diagonal line, corner to corner, you can square up blocks. I use my Creative Grids square rulers all the time to do this. It's not necessary to "lock" on the seam to square up, although it might make it easier for some folks. I use my 6.5" square ruler for anything that size or smaller. I use my 12.5" square ruler for larger blocks. I also have CG square rulers 15.5" and 16.5" for bigger blocks.
