    Default Rapid Fire Hunter's Star

I took a class on June 1. The term Rapid Fire is erroneous. This took so long and there was so much waste. The blocks are oversized and you cut them down to size. I probably will never make this particular one again. It came out great but was too time consuming. In taking the class you need a special ruler to go with. That was costly, as well as the cost of the class. In any case, I did make some new friends - so that's a good thing.

The instructor was great and there for all your needs and questions but the pattern and the ruler - not so much.

Jenny's Hunter Star is quick and I loved making that one.

In any case. Here is a picture of the quilt top. It's a my LQS to be completed. I didn't put a border on it because I thought it would take away from the quilt which i worked so hard on. I am going to attempt to put the binding on to coordinate with the edges of the quilt - grey where the grey section is and blue with the blue section - diagonally connecting colors to coordinate with the angle of the quilt colors.

What a beautiful setting for the hunters star pattern. Very striking. Thanks for your honest evaluation of the pattern and ruler.

I have to agree about the pattern and ruler, took a class several years ago and the ruler has just hung on the pegboard ever since.
Yours is stunning in placement and color.

WOW - never saw this placement of the hunter's star. Very nice. Agree with the ruler though

Personally, I don't like a pattern if I need to buy a ruler for it.

Your quilt is beautiful. I do like the ruler (I like all of Deb Tucker rulers - Studio 180) as I prefer the look of the traditional block and not when it is made by half square triangles. But that is what is great with quilting now you can make the same block different ways.

I really like the quilt-blue and white, my favorite color combo.
