    Default New Star Pattern

Hello, I had seen the tutorial on the North Star. In the materials it was using 40 - 1.5 white strips and 40 - 2.5 strips of a print. Would the quilt be off by using the 2.5 strips instead of the 1.5 in the white background? I don't have the 1.5 strips and would not like to cut down to 1.5 strips.

I think you could do it but it will change the look a bit and the blocks will be quite a bit bigger. If it was me, I would take some scrap fabric and make a sample block to see if you still like it.

Do you have any solid white you could cut into strips instead of using a honey bun?

I'll probably do this quilt one day. I guess it was on the tutorial page it said how much solid fabric you needed if you didn't use a honey bun.

Thank you, I think that I will try it and see.
