Can anyone recommend some books for small quilt blocks? Like 5 1/2 or maybe smaller. Still can't figure how to take a large block and make it smaller. Thanks, Jill

I have a book I love called "Color from the Heart" by Gai Perry. The blocks are not large. But it's also not a "recipe" book. Ms. Perry kind of guides you into helping you learn about colors in quilts. But she does give measurements and directions.
It's available on Amazon.
Toni ... If I keep sewing long enough, will they make their own dinner?
K is for Karen.....................Cremation - My last hope for a smokin' hot body.
Before you speak,
T - is it TRUE?
H - is it HELPFUL?
I - is it INSPIRING?
N - is it NECESSARY?
K - is it KIND?

501 Quilt Blocks: A Treasury of Patterns for Patchwork and Applique by Joan Lewis and Lynette Chiles. They are 4 inch patterns. Since it is an older book, you need to do some tracing and or template making but the blocks are small so it's not hard. They also have some projects at the beginning of the book that use combos of the blocks. There are a lot of traditional and whimsical blocks in this book!
I love this book and take it out frequently from my library when I need a reference.

Any of the Nickel Quilt books. Also, for 4 inch finished blocks, Simple Friendships by Kim Diehl and Jo Morton.
