    In my area gunshots are forbidden ina a range of about 1/4 mile from any house, and deer must have noticed because during hunting season they refugee close to inhabited villages were nobody can use a firearm against them.

    Happy Ending to the tale!

    Baby deer spent the night in Mom's garage, but it's mama came to get it before 8 am this morning. My sister took a great pic of it -- she must have been standing on the stairs. Now there's a tiny one in my front yard, it was there when I left this morning and still there now. Not sure if its the same one. Mama deer was in my backyard when I got home.

    I hope the baby gets a new hiding spot tomorrow -- as you can see, I really need to mow the grass!

    First, I think that's a perfect excuse for not mowing the lawn. Second, deer usually only visit their babies a few times a day.
    Quilters never die, they just go batts.
