This is yummy, MIL loves it when I make a simple "frosting" I mix a tub of Cool Whip with a package (individual serving size) of orange drink mix. Getting real fancy I garnish with mandarin oranges drained well.

If this is the recipe I've made in the past, it calls for the 1-step Angel Food Cake Mix that doesn't require beating of the egg whites first. It's very good!

Yes, I believe it is, I have made it with the other type, it tasted good but was more of a scoopable type cake, we just ate it in a bowl with ice cream on the top.

cake sounds so yummy and the flavored cool whip.. Yeah!!! I read recently using greek yogurt and the frozen cool whip, add some drained fruit and put into graham cracker pie crust from freezer section of store, back into fridge for few hours and cold pie!

My SIL adds coconut to this cake. The flavored cool-whip frosting sounds really good too.
