    Default Ribbon for tied quilt

    Hi. Has anyone used ribbon to tie a quilt? Im looking for a decorative alternative but still want something that will stayed tied but look pretty. Thank you for any suggestions.

    I tried tying a quilt with that thin ribbon and it was a battle getting it through the layers. I prefer to use the crochet thread. Ties tight and stays tied. Comes in lots of colors. Embroidery floss is good too.
    Quilters never die, they just go batts.

    I don’t think ribbon would survive wachine washing.
    Even tying with embroidery floss doesn’t hold up well.

    I would just stitch the ribbons on and tie them. they wont' go anywhere that way.
