    Default my new sewing room

finally got my room put together. The drawers in the white chest hold my batting, minky, patterns and notions. The drawers under the table and at the end of it and in the bookcase have fabrics.

In cleaning and rearranging I came up with a box of batting scraps. Is there anyone making pillows or dog beds? I will be happy to send them to whoever wants them.

What a great use of space. I love to see people's sewing places. Reminds me to tidy mine up - doesn't happen though

Enjoy! If only I could be that organized. I use batting scraps to make home-made color catchers. I use this recipe 1 cup water
1 Tbsp washing soda just mix and soak a square-about 6"x 6" hang to dry. I usually make a big batch and hang outside because they are a bit drippy. So far, for several years now, they have worked great for me.

A double thanks for sharing, What a lovely room to work in! Beth, thanks for the color catcher idea. Right now, I'm using all of my scrap batting for soft books and bowl cozies. (I'm making sure I'm buying 100% cotton batting and labeling it before I store the scraps)
