I know that I have been sewing a bit during these 2 weeks but not as much as I would like. Life just gets in the way.

I did finish piecing the top for Victoria quilts. Click image for larger version.

Also finished assembling the Ombre Gelato top, and found the perfect wild backing.

I also pieced a back for a friendship braid quilt I made last year. It has medallions so I had to match like wallpaper. Turned out good. It's on the rack to sandwich. We have a 12' quilt rack, press together the layers which I spray with 505 spray. Then I remove to quilt on machine. I also did some mending of my grandkids clothes.

Also went on a road trip Saturday with guild members and picked up some yardage and FQ bundle.

Enjoy life and do what makes you happy. Everything else will follow.

Every day I try to do one thing that challenges my comfort zone.

I love that wild backing. It would hide all my quilting bloopers nicely.

A fortnight ago I bought a few FQ from my LQS and along with some of my stash I started cutting squares for beside using paper templates and blades for Dresden plates. With the left overs I was able to cut 4 1/2" squares. These were meant to be sewn as a rest whilst quilting 2 UFO's but would you believe I've 'got stuck in' and have made the squares into a small falling charms quilt and have just sewn the first 2 of 12 Dresden plates!!! The hexies are coming on a treat (am doing these in front of the TV during the evening's!!

I am such a butterfly, I haven't started quilting the UFO's and wanted to have finished them by the end of April, definitely won't happen now!!!
