You guys are the best, I swear! I almost regret asking because I totally love ALL those ideas. LOL. I totally don't feel so hopeless anymore.

The seminole border idea is very intriguing Deegles and Haily3656 (and thank you for the picture because I didn't quite get it, at first!). I honestly don't want to do borders on this quilt, but I do like to add a little something from the front to my backing and this idea could be it! Plus I have no idea how to figure out if I have enough to go all the way around.

    That's awesome! Thanks.

Cathy this is beautiful! Does this block have a name or did you just make it up! I think I'd like to make this anyway!

It's a Sweet Jane pattern, will look the name up when I go up to my sewing room. Glad you like it so very easy to do.

I won't have the pattern back till this weekend, I forgot I lent it to a quilting friend. Sweetjane is the name of the Etsy shop where it's sold. It's on the first page and if I remember correctly it's about $9.00.

Umm...if you're talking to me...I believe they are supposed to be 2.5 x 6.5? They are jelly roll strips and if I did my 1/4" seems correctly, that would mean they should finish at that size right? (Did I mention I'm math challenged??)

Plus I think the completed block is supposed to be 6.5". Haven't come across one yet, so all mine are getting squared down to 6".
