I don't think you ever forget how to be a Mom. May God bless you as you share your love with your precious GD.

Sending my prayers for your family. I know what your feeling we are raising 2 of our grandchildren, its going on three years. 1 just turned 4 and the other 6. Some days I think "what am I doing " but I would not give them up for anything its challenging but so rewarding. You will remember everything and with them being baby's "no bad habits".

You can do it!! We had our oldest grandson until he was eight years old and just out of second grade. It was the best thing for him and we would do it again, if we needed to.

So rewarding to do it again at an older age...I know I appreciated it more and was much more laid back with him that with our girls. He was born just before I turned 38, so actually, he could have been mine, but he knows I was grandma, even though he called me mom most of the time.

    You've got this!!
    pat.

What a lucky child to have you and your love . You will do wonderful.

I didn't really raise her but while her parents worked my granddaughter was with me a lot that is up until she started school. I really miss that now. She calls me almost every Friday and wants to spend the night with me. There is nothing better than a grandbaby!

Today we had our first outing. I had to laugh because I was so nervous. As some of you have said, once a mom always a mom. It is coming back. Even the sleepless nights. Thanks for all of your prayers and encouragement.

Have you found your Mom Ears yet? I mean the ones that can hear the little one at night breathing funny or coughing or whimpering, yet don't hear a thunderstorm moving through?

First night she was here, I thought, she is a LOUD sleeper. By the morning she had a fever of 102 so off to the local all night doctor. Last night, she was so quiet that I knew she was getting better. So, yes, my mom ears have had a workout this week and they even ignored last night's thunderstorm!
